In
1969, hard working hay farmer Stan Steffen was frustrated.
Year after year the inferior quality and performance of haying
equipment caused him to lose more of his hay crop to rain.
In order to get his own hay properly baled and stored, he
built his own reliable and efficient bale handling system.
This was the beginning of the "Steffen System" bale
handlers and accumulators.
Stan
Steffen continues to operate his
own hay farm and currently exports over 20,000 tons of hay
products to Asia each year. His son, David, now owns the manufacturing
division, which builds a wide variety of innovative equipment
for the dry forage industry.
We currently have equipment operating in all fifty states, seven
Canadian provinces, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Chile, England, Australia,
Greece, Sweden, Pakistan, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, and the
United Arab Emirates.
